Leaders 18+

Leaders

Every Scout Group needs Leaders.  Leaders are members of the community, often parents with full-time jobs and busy family lives.  Without volunteer Leaders, we can't run a scout group.

Requirements 

• Willingness to believe in yourself and have a go

• No previous experience in Scouting is required

• Current Working with Children Card

• Successful completion of a National Police Check and Volunteer Reference Check by Scouts Victoria

• Online and face-to-face training provide for free by Scouts Victoria and completed in 12 months 

• Attendance at most weekly Scout meetings (1 - 2 hours per week), occasional weekend activities (with a larger team we can manage if you can't make it)

2nd Glen Waverley provides Leaders with

• peer support

• free uniform 

• payment of membership fees

• subsidised membership fees for your child. 

2nd Glen Waverley warmly encourages new volunteers of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds to join our team.
